Groundwork has been on the move.

Our Director of Programs Anthony Davis Jr. and founder Joe Kennedy traveled to Oklahoma to meet with partners, attend Let’s Fix This CivicsCon, and spend time with leaders on the ground who are fighting every day for democracy and their communities. It was a reminder of the incredible work happening across the state to build power and strengthen democracy. 

We also gathered in Birmingham, Alabama for the Alabama Roadshow Convening, bringing partners together to learn, connect, and build. We grounded ourselves in shared goals before diving into sessions on storytelling, social impact, and partner power mapping. We broke bread together at a partner luncheon, shared dinner, and wrapped up with a closing circle led by J’Shawna and Anthony.
