Amidst the turbulence of 2026, Groundwork remains steadfast. Our commitment to the grassroots organizers on democracy’s frontlines hasn’t wavered, and neither has our belief that this is exactly what this moment demands.

Here’s what we’re focusing on for the rest of the year:

The Groundwork Organizer Network We are continuing to deepen our understanding of the local organizing ecosystems in our partner states and building authentic relationships with the organizers who sustain these ecosystems. We’re using this information to establish strategic guideposts unique to each partner state, informing the programming and investment decisions we make over the next three years.

Wraparound Support Last year, we fortified our offerings in two much-needed areas: fundraising and digital. Now, we’re deepening our narrative support, helping develop trusted messengers in hostile terrain. More exciting updates to come here as we get further into the year.

Organizational Sustainability Groundwork couldn’t operate without its incredible team and the hours they pour into this work and our partners. In this moment, we’re looking inward to strengthen our organizational sustainability and longevity as we approach growth and opportunity in 2026 with intention, creativity and care.
